Technology

  • UV Light is an invisible short wavelength light with four categories referred to as UV-A, UV-B, UV-C and Vacuum UV.

  • UV-C is completely absorbed by the ozone layer and earth’s atmosphere. It is germicidal in nature. Some wavelengths are more effective than others.

  • Germicidal UV-C (253.7 nm) is a specific energy wavelength that is absorbed by the microorganisms and inactivates them by damaging the DNA.

  • UVC germicidal lamps are being used since late 1800s of reducing infections.

  • UVC is produced naturally by the Sun, however it is completely absorbed by ozone layer & earth's atmosphere.

  • The range of UVC wavelength is 200 to 280 nm. Germicidal effects are maximum at 253.7 nm!

  • UVC can work as complimentary to chemicals, but is also effective independent of them!

  • UVC cannot penetrate multiple layers of skin.

  • UVC is also widely used for air purification, & can be very effective for controlling communicable diseases.

  • Regular transplant glass, textile, plastics etc. block almost all UVC radiation.

  • UVC works by damaging the DNA structure of microorganisms, rendering them incapable of multiplying.

UV-C whole room treatments augment manual cleaning and disinfection to better fight hazardous microorganisms and reduce the occurrence of healthcare associated infections.

  • Using UV-C to kill pathogens is well established. UV-C has been Succesfully used for air makeup for over 25 years.

  • Effective for all types of micro-organisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa

  • The newer delivery systems are now safe and reliable and with measureable results of effectivity.

Most well Known pathogens like MRSA, C.difficile, E.coli, M.tuberculosis, L.monocytogenes & A.baumanii can be easily deactivated using appropriate UV-C doses.
